Monthly Design Challenges
These challenges are just for fun and we encourage everyone to participate. We welcome everyone to share their designs with the community!
Each challenge runs from the first to the last day of each month.
Post your design to Instagram with the hashtag #ZBJWDEC by December 31st
The challenge is to use ZBrush's new Bas Relief function to create a Graduation/Class ring. In this video Eric will show you how it's done if you haven't had a chance to play with that feature yet. It's really neat and can lead to some easily producible designs with very little manual work. There is a link in the video description to download the base ring Henry made for Eric. It's just a fun starting point, not meant to be realistic or producible. Feel free to design your own ring if you prefer!
There are no rules or prizes. This is just for fun. We hope the monthly themes give you a chance to jump out of your comfort zone and design something you normally wouldn't. There are no winners or losers, no judges, no criticism. We just want to see what you all come up with.
